I want to let the people that use this site know that I’m done.
I’m done with this organization and I’m done spending time on this franchise.
After Shad Khan came in on his yacht in December I thought that perhaps there was a glimmer of hope that he would put new people in charge and give the cycle of hope some renewal….I was wrong. He could not even talk to the media before making his latest awful decision and then sailing off again. Such a big “FUCK YOU” to the fans, but even worse it was such a display of being disconnected and aloof.
After 25 years of wearing Jacksonville Jaguars gear, going to games, listening to their radio shows, reading their articles, talking to their fans, and posting daily about them – I quit.
I quit Shad Khan and Tony Khan, and I quit searching for some semblance of hope and winning football in an inept loser of a franchise.
Love the game of football and I will continue to watch – but without a team.
Love you guys that post here and I will continue to update the page each day – but I will not read or post.
I am a bit of an extremist and therefore this needs to be a complete elimination from my life, as much as I can anyways – it’s all or none and after going “all in” for so long I need to go “all out”.
I’ve boxed up all Jags gear, memorabilia, mugs, etc… I need to cut this out like a cancer. With politics, once I gave it up I was a much happier person and I had a better quality of life and over the last week I’ve found the same to be true with the Jaguars. I’ve already noticed being a better father and feeling more positive overall. Visiting this site, reading/posting is not an option because it puts my attention back on the Jaguars. You guys, everyone here reminds me of the Jaguars.
In truth, this is more about me and my shortcomings with my ability to deal with the situation of being a Jaguars fan than it is about the Jaguars, and for the people that loved to joke around with me here (I can assure you I loved it more than you did – it was a majority of my smiles and laughs throughout the day) – I’m sorry that this portion of the site and the timeline is over. If someone truly wants to carry the torch and update the song of the day, post photoshops, update/change the site, etc… let me know and I will give the password for WordPress – but it has to be someone I can trust not to fuck around and use it as a way to mess with the people here. There are too many cool people that I respect here for that.

It’s been real, hope you guys do get a winner on the field some day – lord knows you deserve it. Maybe I’ll come back some day if by some miracle there’s new ownership… but until then keep it real, keep fighting homerism wherever it may lurk, and have fun!
